A Perfect Orange County Wedding

We're so excited... one of our happy couples’ weddings was featured on Style Unveiled. We created their invitation suite and reception paper goods, including a lantern sign and custom playing cards!

VP Photography did an amazing job of photographing everything, so we have lots of pictures to share! You can see more of the actual event if you’d like here.

It really was a perfect Orange County wedding, set in picturesque Rancho Las Lomas – a beautiful Spanish style venue with breathtaking orange groves. Looking through the pictures of the day made me sigh like a little girl. All of the yellow and white roses tied everything together.

I never get tired of seeing the different choices that each couple makes for their wedding day, and how it all comes together! Each one is completely unique, just like the love that they share. Never again will there be another wedding that is the same, and that is what makes each one so special. This one is no exception.

We were thrilled to be able to make their sweet day a little sweeter!

A San Jose del Cabo Wedding

This super cute couple is Bethany and Patrick. Bethany was referred to us by her childhood friend Kerry. We created wedding invites and reception paper goods for her last year. (We also designed invites and accessories for Kerry’s older sister, Angela, who wed three months before her little sister!!)

We met with Bethany well over a year prior to their wedding to discuss their invites and accessories. This girl had her wedding vision down pat and wasted no time marking items off her to do list!!

We designed save the dates and an invitation suite in burnt orange, crimson red and shimmery ivory with a Spanish motif to match their fabulous venue in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico. We also created reception décor pieces such as table numbers, escort cards, a custom designed cigar bar sign for Patrick as well as wedding announcements to send after their beach side nuptials.

We’re dying to see the pictures from her wedding photographer… in the meantime, Bethany was kind enough to share some sneak peek pics from their personal files showcasing the venue, florals, and goodies we made for them.

Oh, and while you’re checking out the amazing ocean view and the super cool stuff we made, check out the bride. Is she not a statuesque beauty with the brightest eyes and most stunning smile you’ve ever seen?! Seriously??? Life’s just not fair sometimes!!! :)

The setting for this wedding is just beautiful. Not to mention Bethany had so many creative and romantic ideas for her special day that all came together wonderfully. And the horses on the beach... swoon!

Definitely ‘Inspired By This’!!

Wow oh wow! I just love sharing my favorite wedding things and this week I just couldn’t help myself.

When you see something and your heart starts to sing, you just know! In the case of this post from one of my favorite blogs, Inspired By This, it was definitely love at first sight. You can check out the post by clicking here.

First I love this blog because there’s always something unexpected. This post just made my heart go a’flutter!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this wedding!!! One, because it’s in beautiful Santa Barbara (my hubs and I love SB!!) and two because the bride is dressed in a non traditional, Alexander Mcqueen deep emerald green dress! I love how against the grain of traditional it is, yet it’s still super elegant and chic. Not to mention her gorgeous brown curls and choice of jewelry complement it perfectly.
The photographer, Susan Dean, did a fantastic job of capturing their special day.

L-O-V-E the photos of the couple with their sweet pea, who is dressed in white! So sweet!!

And look at those flowers! Don’t they just make you melt? They’re so colorful and romantic! The red lilies are such a vibrant choice. And the bride’s bouquet is so elegant. SR Hogue definitely goes above and beyond with their creations.

The setting is absolutely breathtaking, San Ysidro Ranch was the ideal setting for this fairytale wedding! The lush green trees that surround them are simply magical, and go so well with her dress, too! They look so beautiful together!

Some like it haute!

Tangled Journey Photography.
We recently created accessories for a baby shower at the Casino San Clemente. We worked with Brandi Smith, of High Society Wedding and Event Planning, the gals at The Tangled Vine, as well as several other fabulous vendors, to create a baby shower for the “Haute Mom.”

If you’d like to see more photos of what everything looked like, the fabulous Kaylee Sizemore of The Tangled Vine blogged about it here.

Imagine a beautiful afternoon outside with the sun shining and lunch in the garden. Bonnie and Allison from the Tangled Vine created a stunning floral centerpiece for the table and several other lovely bouquets and intricate jade wreaths. Green and gold set the tone with splashes of exciting red here and there. Stephanie from Ribbons and Rust brought in several incredible touches that combined with our paper goods to give the whole event a sort of vintage tea time feel.

We made cheeky signs and chic goodies for the party including blinged out clothes pins and custom “How the Bun Got in the Oven” Mad Libs for guests to play! We even added our own labels to the mini champagne bottles that were set at each place setting!

Carbonara provided the yummy food and Itty Bitty Sweets made a whole display of tasty cupcakes for the occasion!

A beach glam wedding shoot!

Photo courtesy of Marilyn Nakazato Photography.
The photos from this breathtaking Hollywood glam wedding photo shoot has the little girl inside me jumping up and down with delight. Marilyn Nakazato is an incredibly talented photographer who did a fantastic job of capturing the sweet beauty of the couple and the scene down at the Surf and Sand in Laguna Beach. She blogged about the photo shoot as well, and included plenty more photos of this beautiful afternoon – check it out here!

We were asked to create paper goods for this photo shoot by Michelle Tortuya of the Charming Little Event Company, and of course we were thrilled to add our creative touch to their special day.

These are some of the gorgeous photos that she took showcasing our work. I just love the idea of a peanut butter and jelly cake – it’s so original and I’m sure it was delicious!

The color scheme was red, black and white, which made for a very elegant combination. His black tux and her soft white dress were accented perfectly with brilliant crimson roses and raspberry glamartinis. Just looking at the pictures of blackberries and salted caramels on her blog makes my mouth water. With the afternoon sun and the ocean behind them in all its dazzling glory, the whole thing was simply magical.

We had a lot of fun creating these beautiful paper designs and were very pleased at how they turned out, keeping with the simple black and white theme with red accents and just a touch of sparkle!
